Solar Energy

A solar cell or photovoltaic cell is a device that converts light directly into electricity taking advantage of the photovoltaic effect. Sometimes the term solar cell is reserved for devices intended specifically to capture energy from sunlight, while the term photovoltaic cell is used when the light source is unspecified. Assemblies of cells are used to make solar panels, solar modules, or photovoltaic arrays.

Photovoltaic panels (PV) are one of the more promising forms of solar power. The research in the field is focused on the development of solar cells that produce electricity for practical use. The photovoltaic have cells that directly convert sunlight to electricity that can be linked to a power grid or power a battery. Solar cells can be used anywhere regardless the topography of regions that experiences consistent daylight, regardless the topography of the region. This is a significant advantage over other forms of renewable energy.

Solar power is one of the fastest growing forms of renewable energy, with the number of panels nearly doubling each year from 9GW to 15GW. Solar energy industry research predicts that if current patterns continue that nearly 25% of Europe’s power in 2020 could come from Photovoltaic.

The company’s is interested in the following three types of photovoltaic systems:

  • Grid-connected domestic systems
This solar PV system is used domestically for homes and business in developed areas.

  • Grid-connected power systems
These systems are used for large applications as those located on industrial buildings, airport terminals, railway stations and other locations where there is higher demand of electricity.

  • Off –grid systems for rural electrification
Remote areas that have no electricity available, this system is used and is connected to a battery via a charge controller.

Our Involvement

Our involvement in solar projects is focused on the development of commercial on-grid power plant projects. We represent large-scale megawatt projects with reputable companies and governments. In addition, we have been promoting the expansion of streetlight photovoltaic projects. These projects involve the installation of streetlights that have their own individual photovoltaic panel on each pole that provides the light with energy. We are also helping to develop a government project that is aiming to install photovoltaic panels on government buildings, hospitals, and other commercial building throughout their respective countries.
